2014 CONCRETEMAN TRIATHLON

An historic race in and around Fellows Lake, north of Springfield, MO. This is our 31st year for the event.
Opening prices are as follows: $60 sprint tri; $70 olympic tri; $120 team - olympic; $12 1-day USAT membership.
Prices go up 7/21/14.
The bike course is challenging – two clockwise loops around Fellows Lake for the Olympic course and one for the sprint
distance. The swim course is triangular. Swimmers will keep the buoys on their right at all times. The run is out and back
with a gradual uphill out and downhill back. The short course turns around before reaching AA highway. Aid stations are
at the transition area and every mile on the run.
Open to all individuals age 15 and older. Parent’s signature is required for participants less than 18 yrs. of age. Younger
USAT members may participate on a team with special permission from the race director.
All entrants, including team members, must be a member of USA Triathlon. You must show your USAT membership card
at packet pick-up. One-day memberships are $10. Youth registrations (17 and under) must buy a youth membership of $5
per year. Forms will be available at registration or you may obtain one online at www.usatriathlon.org.
Awards will be given three places in the following categories:
A 15-19 D 30-34 G 45-49 J 60-64 M 75-79 P Athenas
B 20-24 E 35-39 H 50-54 K 65-69 N 80-84 Q Clydesdales
C 25-29 F 40-44 I 55-59 L 70-74 O 85 & Over T Teams
Teams will be awarded three places in the following categories:
Male Masters Male Female Masters Female Mixed Masters Mixed
Olympic Course: Overall male and female - $200 each; overall masters male and female - $150 each.
Sprint Course: Overall male and female – Gift Cards
Overall masters male and female – Technical gear
Teams: Olympic course only – Technical gear
Feetures socks will be awarded to age group winners.
Entries will be accepted until 6:00 pm 7/25/14 in person. No race day entries ! A $5 late fee
will be assessed after 7/21/14.
The USAT wetsuit policy will apply. (You may wear a wetsuit if the water temperature is less than or equal to 78 degrees
Fahrenheit. If the water temperature is above 78 degrees F, you may wear it without eligibility for prizes. If the
temperature is over 84 degrees F, no wetsuits are allowed.) Following extensive research and consideration, USA
Triathlon has announced that beginning in 2013 use of wetsuits exceeding five millimeters in thickness will not be
permitted at USAT-sanctioned events.
Friday, July 25, 2014: noon to 6 pm at Ridge Runner Sports, 3057 S. Fremont. Saturday, July 26, 2014: 5 am to 6:30 am at
Fellows Lake. You may not pick up a race packet for anyone other than yourself. You must show ID and USAT card.
All triathlon entrants receive a technical, commemorative t-shirt, swim cap, and various giveaways in the race packet.
Take Glenstone (H Highway) to AA, three miles north of Springfield; go east on AA two miles to Pleasant Home Baptist
Church. Turn north on F.R. 183 to transition area. Or, take Hwy. 65 north from Springfield to AA Hwy.; turn west on AA to
F.R. 183. (Overflow parking will be at Pleasant Home Baptist Church. No parking along F.R. 183.)
Ipico chip timing by Ozark Racing Systems. Ankle chips will be worn for the entire event. Five splits will be provided.
